Nina’s Bakeri is finally open in the former St. Helen spot:

Despite all of Williamsburg’s culinary delights, good bakeries are still hard to find. This small café and bakeshop from Nina Brondmo (Sweetwater) hopes to remedy that. DeBlasio Back; Gerson Out

Bill de Blasio is back on the ballot for Public Advocate. Not so lucky is Alan Gerson, who has been removed from the ballot for his Manhattan Council seat. And based on this early report, it appears that Gerson’s sins could be more than clerical BS. We’ll see.
