St. Regis, Wythe Hotel Open Rooms to Medical Staff, Patients

Hotels are being used for quarantine and to house medical staff. This article mentions the Wythe – any other local hotels doing this?

The Four Seasons Hotel on East 57th Street, the Room Mate Grace Hotel and the Wythe Hotel have offered free housing for doctors, nurses and other staff, while the St. Regis Hotel, the Palace Hotel and Yotel will be providing space for non-critical care patients, according to a press release from Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.

Williamsburg Hotel is Headed for Receivership

In unsurprising news, the Williamsburg Hotel is not penciling out as developer Toby Moskovits thought it would. It really is not clear if this building is even finished. Is Shitshow an architectural style?

Bushwick Mall

Bushwick Daily has pictures from a Massey Knakal brochure marketing a proposed “Bushwick” Mall on Bogart Street in East Williamsburg. It’s not really clear if Massey Knakal is marketing the property (i.e., trying to entice someone to develop it) or if they are trying to market the project (i.e., someone is already planning to build this and is looking for tenants). Either way, this project seems to be more about the Bushwick Hotel than the Bushwick Mall.

Illegal Hotel Crackdown

Among the 15 hotels shut down by the city in the past few weeks is Williamsburg’s Hotel Toshi (three other Toshi branches were also closed by the city).
